The Position - Security Operations Support Officer
Join St John of God Midland Hospital as a Hospital Security Officer and play an key role in maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and caregivers. In this varied and hands-on role, you will provide a visible security presence, respond to emergency incidents, support risk management activities and deliver exceptional customer service across the hospital site.
- Maintain a visible security presence throughout the hospital and conduct proactive patrols.
- Respond rapidly to emergency codes, security incidents and requests for assistance.
- Manage and de-escalate aggressive or high-risk situations using professional communication techniques.
- Provide security escorts for patients, caregivers,
visitors and high-risk patient transfers.
- Monitor CCTV, security alarms and access control systems, ensuring timely responses to incidents.
- Conduct incident investigations and prepare accurate reports and security documentation.
- Liaise with emergency services, including Police and Fire Services, on operational matters. Patrol hospital car parks, manage traffic flow and address parking and security concerns.
- Support compliance, risk management and security audits across the hospital campus.
