We are seeking a commercially minded, proactive and pragmatic HR professional who builds trusted relationships with leaders, confidently challenges the status quo and translates business needs into practical people solutions, with the influence and resilience to help reshape and strengthen the HR function while supporting a fast-paced, operationally focused services environment.
About the role The HR Business Partner (HRBP) partners with business leaders to translate HR strategy into practical business outcomes. The role provides proactive HR advice, develops workforce plans, facilitates talent and succession discussions, coaches leaders and identifies people, capability and retention risks. The HRBP acts as the bridge between the broader HR strategy and the operational needs of the business, ensuring that people priorities are aligned with business objectives and effectively implemented at business and site level.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to develop workforce plans, identifying current and future workforce requirements, critical roles and skills gaps.
- Develop recruitment and retention strategies for hard-to-fill roles.
- Facilitate talent and succession reviews.
- Partner with leaders to strengthen employee engagement and the overall employee experience, and implement engagement action plans at business and site level.
- Support leadership development through the provision of accurate and timely advice, and effective coaching, on people-related matters.
- Support organisational change and transformation initiatives.
- Develop,
review and update HR policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure they remain aligned with Australian employment legislation, up-to-date awards and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Use workforce data and insights to support business and people decisions.
About you
- Proven experience partnering with business leaders to translate HR strategy into practical business outcomes.
- Experience within the mining, resources, industrial or broader services sector will be highly regarded, with experience interpreting and applying mining industry awards and associated employment conditions considered beneficial.
- Capability in workforce planning, talent and succession planning, and leadership development.
- Experience in employee engagement, retention and employee relations.
- Ability to analyse people data and translate insights into business actions.
- Experience supporting organisational change and transformation initiatives.

Pay: $93,243.99 – $159,883.46 per year
