About the Role
As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will take ownership of daily floor operations, ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and service standards consistently exceed expectations. Working closely with housekeeping management and hotel leadership, you will lead, coach, and develop teams while maintaining productivity, quality, and compliance standards across the operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily housekeeping operations
- Conduct detailed room inspections and quality audits
- Manage VIP arrivals, special requests, and guest recovery situations
- Train, mentor, and develop Room Attendants to achieve high performance
- Allocate room assignments and manage daily workforce planning
- Monitor team productivity, including Minutes Per Room (MPR) targets
- Manage key control procedures and housekeeping documentation
- Coordinate roster requirements in line with occupancy levels
- Handle operational issues, callouts, and guest concerns professionally
- Conduct stock audits of linen, amenities, and housekeeping supplies
- Maintain workplace safety standards and chemical handling compliance
- Liaise with hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
What We're Looking To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- At least 1 year of continuous supervisory experience in a luxury 5-star hotel, or 2+ years in a high-volume 4-star hotel environment, with proven responsibility for leading teams and driving operational performance
- Robust leadership skills,
with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop high-performing teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to collaborate effectively across multiple hotel departments
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities, with the ability to prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service
- Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- A proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to lead by example
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
- Applicants must currently reside in Australia and hold valid Australian working rights
