About the Opportunity A leading healthcare organisation is seeking an experienced Integration Specialist to join its Technology team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design, implementation, and support of critical system integrations that enable seamless information exchange across clinical and enterprise applications. Working within a collaborative and fast-paced environment, you'll play a key role in supporting interoperability initiatives and delivering integration solutions that improve operational efficiency and patient outcomes.

The position offers a balance of BAU support and project-based work, providing exposure to both existing integration environments and strategic digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor, support, and troubleshoot integration platforms and interfaces.
- Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain system integrations using healthcare interoperability standards and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, application teams, and third-party vendors to gather, define, and deliver integration requirements.
- Manage end-to-end integration processes across multiple systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation throughout the integration lifecycle.
- Investigate and resolve integration incidents, defects, and performance issues.
- Support the implementation, upgrade, and optimisation of clinical and enterprise systems to enhance interoperability and data exchange.
- Participate in technology projects, ensuring deliverables are met within agreed scope, quality, and timeframes.




- Provide technical guidance and contribute to best-practice integration development and support.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and adoption of emerging integration technologies.
- Promote a collaborative, customer-focused, and continuous improvement culture.

Required Skills & Experience

- Demonstrated experience working with healthcare messaging standards and interoperability frameworks.
- Proven experience developing, implementing, and supporting integrations within healthcare or similarly complex enterprise environments.
- Experience working with integration engines, middleware platforms, or enterprise integration technologies.
- Strong understanding of healthcare information systems and clinical workflows.
- Experience designing and supporting both standards-based and custom integrations.
- Solid understanding of system-to-system communication protocols, data integration methodologies, and interface design principles.
- Ability to analyse business and operational requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Project, and Visio.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.

Desirable Skills

- Experience with HL7, FHIR, and other healthcare interoperability standards.
- Exposure to API-led integration architectures and up-to-date integration approaches.
- Experience working with APIs, scripting languages, and SQL databases.
- Knowledge of cloud-based integration solutions and enterprise applications.
- Understanding of authentication, security, and data governance principles.
- Previous experience within healthcare, hospital, or clinical technology environments.
