About the Chance
At Lighthouse Christian School, we are seeking an outstanding Junior Secondary Science Teacher to join our vibrant community for a fixed-term contract for Term 4, 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people while teaching in a Christ-centred environment where faith, learning, and community thrive together.

Reporting to the Head of Secondary, you will play a key role in delivering engaging Science education to our junior secondary students while helping them discover their God-given potential.
What You'll be Doing
As part of our dynamic Secondary team, you will:
- Inspire students through engaging and high-quality Science teaching
- Design learning experiences that integrate faith and a Christian worldview
- Foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a passion for discovery
- Support and mentor students in their academic and personal growth
- Assess and report on student progress,
celebrating achievements and identifying next steps
- Collaborate with like-minded colleagues to deliver exceptional educational outcomes
- Participate in school events, camps, professional learning, and community activities
- Build positive partnerships with parents to maximise student success
- Contribute to the vibrant culture and mission of the school both inside and beyond the classroom
Position is for immediate start. About You To be considered for this role, you must hold current teacher registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
