Nomad Design Tackle is a growing Australian fishing brand designing innovative products for anglers around the world. We are looking for a commercially minded Key Account Specialist to help accelerate growth and maximise product opportunities across major retail partnerships in Australia and international markets. Working closely with our CEO, you will combine customer engagement, sales analysis, product ranging and hands-on account execution. You will help turn new products and retail insights into compelling commercial opportunities for Nomad and our retail partners.
A genuine interest in fishing is essential. You will bring sound knowledge of the category and the curiosity to keep learning, enabling you to communicate credibly with retail partners and anglers.
The opportunity
This role sits at the intersection of key account management, category analysis and sales execution. You will personally undertake the analysis, preparation and follow-through while building productive relationships with customers and coordinating activity across Nomad. You may still be developing your account-management career, but from day one you must bring the initiative, commercial judgement and personal accountability to identify what needs to be done, form recommendations and follow the work through without relying on constant direction.

stock availability and sales
- Assess the commercial potential of new products for major retail customers

- Work across sales, product, marketing, supply chain and finance to deliver agreed outcomes
- Use data to identify risks, gaps and opportunities
- Assist the CEO with other commercial, customer and business priorities as reasonably required
What you will bring
- A genuine passion for fishing and sound knowledge of the category
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work confidently with sales, inventory and customer dataThe ability to interpret sales, inventory and market data and turn it into commercial action
- An understanding of retail ranging, distribution, sell-through and promotional performance
- The initiative to investigate opportunities, form a view and recommend what should happen next
- Confidence preparing and presenting product opportunities and commercial recommendations
- Solid customer communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to sell and pitch ideas clearly and persuasively
- Excellent organisation, accuracy and follow-through
- Confidence using AI and other analytical tools while critically checking their outputs
- A willingness to visit stores, attend customer meetings and undertake reasonable travel
Experience in account coordination, key account support, retail sales, category support, commercial analysis, consumer products or sporting goods would be highly regarded. Previous experience working with major retailers, customer POS data, retail ranging or new-product submissions would also be valuable. Direct fishing-industry experience is advantageous, but strong commercial capability combined with a meaningful interest in fishing may be equally relevant. Where the role can lead
As your capability and customer knowledge develop, you will take on greater responsibility for customer communication, commercial recommendations and the regular account activity required to deliver results. The longer-term opportunity is to progress from Key Account Specialist to Key Account Manager and assume broader account ownership. Progression will be based on demonstrated capability, commercial results, customer confidence and sound judgement.
Why join Nomad Design Tackle?
This is an opportunity to combine your interest in fishing with meaningful commercial responsibility inside a growing international brand. You will work closely with senior leadership, gain exposure to major retail partnerships and build substantial experience across account management, product ranging and commercial analysis.
