Job Title: Leading Hand – High-Rise Residential Construction

Job Brief

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Leading Hand to join our construction team.

You will play a hands-on role on high-rise residential projects, helping coordinate workers and trades on site. You will work closely with the Site Supervisor and project team to keep daily work safe, organised, and on schedule.

Responsibilities

- Lead and support workers and trades on daily site activities
- Carry out hands-on construction work while guiding the site team
- Coordinate work areas and ensure tasks are completed in the right sequence
- Read and follow construction drawings, plans, and specifications
- Support structure and/or finishing works on high-rise residential projects
- Check the quality of work and ensure it meets project standards
- Help keep work on schedule and report any delays or site issues
- Maintain safe work practices and ensure site safety rules are followed
- Coordinate with subcontractors and other trades as required
- Identify and resolve day-to-day site issues with the Site Supervisor
- Keep work areas clean, organised, and ready for the next stage
- Report daily progress and any site concerns to the Site Supervisor

Qualifications
- 5–10 years of construction experience,



preferably in high-rise residential projects
- Strong experience in structure and/or finishing works
- Trade qualification or relevant construction trade background preferred
- Previous experience as a Leading Hand, Senior Tradesperson, or similar site leadership role
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings
- Valuable knowledge of site safety and safe work practices
- Ability to lead workers and coordinate with subcontractors
- Strong practical skills and attention to quality
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, organised, and willing to work as part of a site team
