As an educator in our Secondary School, you will play a key role in supporting the development of our boys as you engage with them in areas beyond the classroom.

The role

Applications are currently being sought from experienced Learning Support Teachers to join our Learning Support team in a full time, ongoing capacity, to commence Term 1, 2027.

Working full time, the Learning Support Teacher supports students across the Secondary School with identified learning needs to access the curriculum. Reporting to the Head of Learning Strategies, Years 7-12, the role liaises closely with the Heads of House and teachers as necessary. The role is part of the learning support team and works collaboratively with the team to run study clubs, provide assessment provisions and support students learning.

To be successful in the role, you will be required to demonstrate:

- Qualifications in Education and postgraduate studies in Special Education or similar, in conjunction with current Teaching registration (VIT).
- Experience with supporting VCE English students is desirable.




- A commitment to teamwork and passion for the education of students at their point of need.
- Experience in developing and maintaining individual learning plans for students with disabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to support teachers in meeting the need of students with learning difficulties and/or special needs.
- Experience identifying, monitoring and assisting students with learning difficulties.
- Robust interpersonal and relationship building skills to ensure effective relationships with students, parents and staff.
- Recent classroom teaching experience is desirable.
