Anchor & Aim Support Services is seeking a reliable, patient and encouraging male support worker for a 17-year-old neurodivergent NDIS participant in Heathmont.

The participant has completed Year 10 and would like to return to TAFE following a change in his health. The role will focus on building his confidence, routines and independence while supporting his education, employment and community-participation goals.

Key responsibilities

- Build a positive and respectful relationship with the participant
- Support motivation, confidence and emotional regulation
- Help establish routines and increase independence
- Assist with exploring TAFE courses and returning to education
- Support employment preparation and community participation
- Work collaboratively with the participant, family and Anchor & Aim
- Complete accurate shift notes and required documentation

Essential requirements:
- Demonstrated experience supporting neurodivergent teenagers or young adults
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates




- NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate
- Australian working rights
- Robust communication, reliability and professional boundaries
- Ability to provide person-centred and neurodiversity-affirming support

Preferred:
- Certificate III or IV in Disability Support, Youth Work, Mental Health, Community Services or a related field
- Experience supporting young people to return to education, TAFE or employment
- Understanding of autism, ADHD, mental-health challenges and low motivation
- Driver’s licence, reliable vehicle and appropriate insurance

A formal qualification is preferred; however, applicants with strong, relevant and verifiable experience will also be considered. The participant has requested a male worker due to his personal support preferences.
