Join a growing organisation delivering renewable energy projects across Australia. We are seeking an experienced Community Engagement Manager to lead community engagement and social value initiatives across Ark Energy’s projects, from early development through construction and operations.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Head of Public Affairs & Stakeholder Relations, the Community Engagement Manager will join Ark Energy in a full-time capacity. Based in our Brisbane office, the role will require frequent travel to regional and remote project locations.

Working closely with development, project delivery and corporate teams, you will lead community and stakeholder engagement activities that support project approvals, strengthen local relationships, manage stakeholder risks and deliver positive outcomes for the communities in which we operate.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Develop and deliver community and stakeholder engagement strategies across the project lifecycle.
- Plan and coordinate community consultation programs supporting project development and approvals.
- Build trusted relationships with landowners, councils, elected representatives, community organisations, Traditional Owners, First Nations groups and regional communities.
- Organise stakeholder meetings, community information sessions and public consultation activities.
- Support Social Impact Assessments, community benefit agreements and project approval requirements.
- Identify and manage emerging stakeholder issues, complaints, risks and opportunities.
- Lead community investment, sponsorship, partnership and benefit-sharing initiatives.
- Prepare clear community-facing communications, including newsletters, FAQs, presentations and project updates.
- Maintain accurate stakeholder records and report on engagement activities, commitments, complaints and social value outcomes.




- Provide practical community and stakeholder advice to project teams and business leaders.

About You

You are an experienced community engagement professional who is comfortable working across complex projects and regional communities. You build trusted relationships, communicate clearly and can navigate sensitive stakeholder matters with sound judgement and a practical approach.

To help you succeed in this role, you will have:

- Tertiary qualifications in social science, communications, community development or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience developing and delivering community and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Experience supporting project development and approvals, including community consultation and Social Impact Assessment activities.
- Strong experience engaging with landowners, councils, community organisations, Traditional Owners, First Nations groups and regional communities.
- Experience managing community complaints, sensitive issues and complex stakeholder matters.
- Experience delivering community benefit-sharing, investment, sponsorship or partnership initiatives.
- Strong written communication, presentation, facilitation and relationship-building skills.
- An understanding of community issues associated with renewable energy or major infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with the planning and assessment workplace for major projects in Queensland and New South Wales.
- IAP2 certification or equivalent engagement experience will be highly regarded.
