The Company

The Role
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Purchasing Officer plays a key role in purchasing, expediting, and supplier performance activities within a national procurement function. You will be instrumental in ensuring the timely and efficient procurement of goods and services that support operations across the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, process, and manage purchase orders in line with business requirements and procurement policies
- Monitor and expedite overdue purchase orders to ensure critical operational and build requirements are met
- Coordinate supplier non-conformance reports (NCRs), including root cause investigations, corrective actions, and stakeholder communication
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on procurement processes, purchase orders, and supplier-related queries
- Maintain supplier and purchasing master data, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems
- Use enterprise procurement systems such as SAP to manage transactions, supplier information, and reporting
About You
- Experience in a purchasing, procurement, or similar supply chain role
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and enterprise procurement systems such as SAP
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
- Able to work collaboratively within a team while also operating with a high degree of autonomy
