About the Role
John Wollaston Anglican Community School (JWACS) is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Mathematics Teacher to join our vibrant community. This is an ongoing position commencing at the start of the 2027 academic year and offers a flexible appointment of 0.8 FTE to 1.0 FTE.
Reporting to the Head of Mathematics, the successful candidate will teach Mathematics across Years 8-12 and contribute positively to a collaborative, innovative and student focused department. Experience teaching ATAR Mathematics would be highly regarded but not essential. The ability to teach a small Physical Education load would also be viewed favourably.

Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold and actively promote the Mission, Vision, Ethos and Core Values of AngliSchools and John Wollaston Anglican Community School.
- Foster and support a strong child safety culture.
- Inspire students and encourage a love of learning.
- Build and maintain positive, respectful relationships with students, staff, parents and carers through strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Deliver engaging, student‑centred lessons aligned with contemporary teaching practice and the Western Australian Curriculum.
- Differentiate learning and adapt tasks to meet diverse student needs.
- Maintain clear,
detailed and timely records of student achievement and development, and communicate effectively with parents and guardians to support student learning and wellbeing.
- Provide pastoral care that supports students’ wellbeing, engagement and growth.
About You:
- You hold a Bachelor of Education or an equivalent qualification supported by a Postgraduate Diploma of Education.
- You are registered with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA).
- You hold a current Working with Children Check or are willing to obtain prior to commencement.
- You are relationship‑focused and demonstrate robust emotional intelligence.
- You communicate clearly and professionally to build respectful, collaborative relationships across the School community.
- You are highly organised, adaptable and responsive to the dynamic needs of learners and a busy learning environment.
- You hold valid Australian work rights.
