The opportunity
We're seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter working from our Wollert facility on night shift. This role offers immediate start and the chance to be part of a dynamic, supportive crew.
- Location: Wollert, Victoria.
- Shift hours: 8pm-4am Monday to Friday night shift.
- Permanent full-time position.
What you’ll be doing
- Perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on fixed plant equipment.
- Troubleshoot and rectify mechanical faults across crushing,
screening and conveying systems.
- Repair and replace bearings, gearboxes, pumps, hydraulic components and other mechanical equipment.
- Support shutdown maintenance activities and major plant overhauls.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with site procedures.
What you’ll need
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent mechanical trade.
- Current White Card and Driver's License.
- Forklift, Confined Space and Working at Heights tickets (desirable or willing to obtain).
About you
- Experience maintaining fixed plant equipment within quarrying, mining, manufacturing, or other heavy industrial environments.
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills along with a strong focus on safety.
- All candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical with drug & alcohol screening as part of the recruitment process.
