Mechanical Electrical & BMS Project Manager → General Manager Career Pathway

This role is a launchpad, not a landing spot. Our client is bringing on Projects Managers — one each in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney — each with a clearly defined and genuinely supported pathway to State General Managers. If you're a PM who's outgrowing the title and wants the business to invest in you accordingly, this is built for that.

Our client is a nationally well-established name in mechanical, electrical and BMS project delivery, known for technically complex, high-value work across commercial buildings, hospitals, data centres and other critical infrastructure.

The Role (Right Now)

You'll take full ownership of projects from handover through to practical completion — programme, budget, subcontractors, commissioning and client relationship, all under your control.

What You'll Be Doing

· Owning project delivery end-to-end — planning, programme, resourcing, commissioning and handover

· Managing budgets, forecasts, cost-to-complete and variations — commercial performance is on you

· Leading Site Supervisors and project teams, with quality and safety non-negotiable

· Building genuine relationships with clients, consultants and builders

· Overseeing compliance, testing, defect rectification and close-out documentation

What You'll Bring

· Proven experience managing mechanical, electrical and/or BMS projects

· Solid technical grounding in HVAC electrical systems and Building Management Systems — robust BMS or Mechatronic backgrounds will be highly regarded

· Commercial awareness that goes beyond programme — you understand margin and P&L; thinking

· The ambition and composure to be developed into a GM role, not just hold a PM one

· Current A Grade Electrical Licence, White Card and Driver's Licence (essential)

· Exposure to Simpro, MS Project, Bluebeam, Procore or Aconex is a bonus, not a barrier
