Located in Moranbah and Emerald, Light Vehicle Solutions supply and maintain light vehicle fleets to a diverse range of customers throughout the Bowen Basin region.
An opportunity has become available for a Qualified Mechanic to join our growing vehicle hire division in our Emerald Workshop.
Your duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately.
- Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade.
- Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.)
- Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues.
- Keep job logs on work and issues. Includes preparing condition report for vehicles.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good condition.
- Ordering and take delivery of parts.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Robust diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Solid mechanical servicing and repair experience.
- A Certificate III in Automotive Technology or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Third and fourth-year apprentices with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
- A current Australian driver's licence.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to accurately record work completed.
- A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and vehicle reliability.
- The ability to work independently while also being part of a small team.
- A strong understanding of current automotive industry practices.
- Visa holders currently residing in Australia will be considered.
The role is full-time Monday – Friday in our Emerald workshop. You will be rewarded with an industry competitive hourly rate with a view to securing a long-term career with a family-owned business.
