Contract position: Permanent Full - Time with an initial 3-month review
About the Role
Delivery Fleet Maintenance (DFM) is a specialised service centre and on-site mechanical service provider, delivering comprehensive maintenance solutions for delivery fleets of two- and three-wheeled motorcycles and electric vehicles. Operating across South Australia, DFM is a preferred service provider to a major national postal and delivery organisation, keeping fleet vehicles safe, compliant, reliable and on the road.
We're looking for a skilled and motivated Motorcycle / Automotive / EV Technician to join our South Australian team. This hands-on, varied role covers servicing, diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a broad range of motorcycles and electric vehicles, along with installing and troubleshooting telematics systems. It's a great fit for someone who thrives in a quick-paced environment and takes pride in quality workmanship and great customer service.
What You'll Be Doing
- Performing routine servicing, preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs across a range of petrol and electric two- and three-wheeled vehicles
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and electronic faults
- Carrying out safety inspections
- Installing accessories, components, parts and fleet equipment
- Diagnosing and resolving issues with vehicle electrical systems and onboard fleet technology
- Maintaining accurate service records, job cards and repair documentation
- Liaising professionally with customers on vehicle condition, repairs and servicing
- Following WHS procedures and keeping a safe, clean, organised workshop
- Collaborating with the DFM team to get vehicles back on the road efficiently
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Motorcycle, Automotive or EV Technician preferred, candidates with relevant experience will also be considered, with training provided
- Strong diagnostic, mechanical and problem-solving skills
- Sound mechanical knowledge and a willingness to build EV and electrical diagnostic skills
- Current motorcycle licence preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable with early starts
- A positive, can-do attitude and eagerness to learn new technologies
