Our global head office and manufacturing plant is located in Melbourne with overseas branch offices and warehousing in the USA, Brazil and Germany.
The Production Operator is responsible for:
- Producing of SDI products as per training provided
- Following all OH&S; policies and procedures to ensure own safety, the safety of fellow employees and all persons on the worksite e.g., PPE, SOPs, WI/OIs.
- Following all SDI employment-related polices and procedures.
- Ensuring GMP and GDP compliance and instilling a "right-first time‟ approach
- Contributing towards SDI Strategic Priorities.
- Conducting work in a safe manner and demonstrating a strong commitment to SDI's values of passion, accountability, respect, teamwork and innovation.
Specific Responsibilities
- Ensures all daily planned jobs is achieved in full by the end of shift
- Escalates any delays on time on daily planned jobs to Leading Hand/Supervisor
- Participates in basic continuous improvement activities
- Operates, cleans and sets-up machinery/equipment
- Contributes to the production process encompassing warehousing, dispensary, manufacturing and/or packing
- Follows Standard Operating Procedures and work/ operating instructions in an efficient manner
- Basic troubleshooting of equipment as trained
- Performs in-process checks and fills-in paperwork to GMP / GDP standards
- Assists with writing or updating production-related documents as required e.g., Production Forms, Work Instructions,
General Forms, and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Participates in Safety Risk Assessments of process and equipment as requested
- Assists with stocktake, cycle counts and reconciliations.
- Actively raises any safety-related concerns or hazards
- Participates in production and toolbox meetings
- Performs in-process quality checks according to the relevant production form
- Maintains enough raw material for their shift and into the next shift
- Maintains a clean work area according to the Department Cleaning Checklist
- Stores approved product in dedicated storage areas
- Informs Supervisor or Leading Hand of any deviations from standard procedures
- Follows LEAN initiatives
