NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner – Core, Proficient or Specialist

Nurture Care Australia is expanding its Positive Behaviour Support service and is seeking two experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners:

- One Core or Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner
- One Specialist Behaviour Support Practitioner

This is a flexible subcontractor opportunity for practitioners who want to join a supportive and growing NDIS organisation while maintaining control over their availability and caseload.

About Nurture Care Australia

Nurture Care Australia is an established NDIS provider supporting participants across Brisbane and South East Queensland. We are committed to delivering safe, person-centred and high-quality supports that create meaningful outcomes for participants.

You will be supported by our intake, administration and operations teams and provided with access to established policies, templates, systems and referral pathways.

Key responsibilities

- Complete functional behaviour assessments
- Develop Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans
- Conduct participant observations and stakeholder consultations
- Identify behaviours of concern, triggers and contributing factors
- Develop evidence-based, person-centred behaviour support strategies
- Support the reduction and elimination of restrictive practices
- Provide training and coaching to families, carers and support teams
- Monitor participant progress and review strategies
- Prepare progress reports and other NDIS documentation
- Maintain accurate case notes and participant records
- Collaborate with support coordinators, families, allied health professionals and service providers
- Meet NDIS Commission requirements and reporting timeframes
- Participate in clinical supervision, peer review and quality-assurance processes

About you To be considered, you must have:




- Current NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner suitability at Core, Proficient, Advanced or Specialist level
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, behavioural science, counselling, education or a related discipline
- Experience completing behaviour assessments and Behaviour Support Plans
- Knowledge of the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework
- Understanding of restrictive practices, safeguarding and trauma-informed practice
- Robust report-writing and stakeholder communication skills
- Ability to independently manage a caseload and meet deadlines
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Working with Children Check, where required
- Australian driver’s licence and reliable transport
- Australian Business Number
- Professional indemnity and public liability insurance

Job Type: Subcontract Pay: $100.00–$150.00 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid – participant appointments across Brisbane and South East Queensland, with remote report writing and documentation.

Pay: $105.00 – $155.00 per hour
