Job Description
A rare opportunity is available for a Youth Parliament Program Coordinator to join us for our flagship Youth Parliament and Junior Parliament Programs. YMCA South Australia Youth Parliament is a non-partisan program providing a platform for young people aged 15 - 25 to have their say on important issues, build skills and parliamentary understanding. It focuses on personal development, empowerment and connecting politicians and decision makers with youth voices and opinions.

The role is to support the planning, delivery, and review of the two programs and to be a key advocate for youth within our communities. The role will include developing and delivering safe and engaging activities while on program, ensuring the program stays on schedule, supporting staff and volunteers to complete their tasks and ensuring program outcomes are met.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
n
Successful candidates will also have, or be willing to obtain (for certificates only):

- Experience in working with Young People
n
- Excellent interpersonal skills and highly developed communication skills
n
- Proven capability to build strong and positive relationships with key stakeholders, including consultation and engagement to maximise outcomes
n
- Ability to problem solve and create solutions
n
- Current Driver's License
n
- RRHAN-EC Masterclass – Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education & Care
n
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
n
n
