With 500 people locally, more than 200 active vacancies and plans to double our workforce, we need an onboarding specialist who can keep pace with growth while helping us build a genuinely great onboarding experience for our new starters.

You’ll pick up successful candidates from our Talent Acquisition Partners and take them all the way through to their first day on site, managing contracts, compliance and mobilisation while helping shape the systems and processes that make onboarding simpler and more consistent as we scale.

What You’ll Do

- Receive candidate handovers from our Talent Acquisition Partners and own onboarding from offer through to mobilisation.
- Manage employee profiles and onboarding workflows in Employment Hero and other onboarding systems, keeping records accurate and up to date.
- Issue employment contracts, policies and onboarding documents, and follow up outstanding paperwork.
- Coordinate medicals, drug and alcohol testing, police checks and right-to-work checks.
- Collect and review licences, tickets, qualifications and competencies, escalating anything missing or unsuitable.
- Coordinate inductions and confirm requirements with project, site and Health and Safety teams.
- Arrange training or competency verification,



and set employees up in relevant safety, induction and site systems.
- Give new starters clear mobilisation and first-day instructions, coordinating travel, accommodation, PPE and uniforms where needed.
- Keep Talent Acquisition and project teams updated on onboarding status, and escalate anything that could affect a start date.
- Help design and improve the systems and experience behind onboarding, including our move to ICIMS as our new enterprise system.

What You’ll Bring

- Experience in onboarding, mobilisation, recruitment administration or HR administration, ideally within construction, infrastructure, utilities, energy or another project-based environment.
- Experience onboarding blue collar or project-based employees is highly desirable.
- Comfort managing multiple onboardings and competing mobilisation deadlines at once, with strong attention to detail on compliance documentation.
- Experience with Employment Hero is desirable, as is exposure to ICIMS.
- A genuine interest in improving how onboarding works, not just running it as it stands today.
