About The Role As a Full-Time Optometrist, you'll be responsible for providing comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing and managing ocular conditions, and delivering outstanding customer care. You'll work closely with our Optical Assistants and broader Health Centre team to ensure every patient receives the highest standard of service and clinical care.

What you'll be doing

- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations in line with AHPRA and Optometry Australia guidelines




- Diagnose and manage ocular diseases and systemic conditions, making referrals where appropriate
- Deliver exceptional patient care and customer service
- Build and maintain strong relationships with patients and colleagues
- Respond to patient enquiries and concerns professionally and effectively
- Participate in clinical safety, quality, and education initiatives
- Maintain and calibrate clinical equipment and optometry tools
- Support practice operations, including Medicare reconciliation and inventory management
- Contribute to team performance, customer retention, and growth objectives
- Stay up to date with industry developments and best-practice optometry standards

Essential requirements

- Bachelor or Master's degree in Optometry
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
- Membership with Optometry Australia
- Medicare Provider Registration
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Strong clinical skills in refraction and ocular health assessment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong computer literacy
- Minimum 6 months' clinical experience as an Optometrist
