The Role We are seeking an experienced and passionate OSHC Coordinator to lead the day-to-day operation of our OSHC Service and support the delivery of high-quality care and engaging learning experiences for children.
Working collaboratively with the Management Committee, Approved Provider and Nominated Supervisor, the Coordinator will provide robust leadership to the OSHC team, oversee service operations and contribute to the ongoing development and quality of the Service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the OSHC team to provide high-quality care and education.
- Oversee the day-to-day operation and administration of the OSHC Service.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Lead and support the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and continuous improvement activities.
- Oversee enrolments, CCS administration, records, fees and other service administration requirements.
- Promote strong child safety, supervision, wellbeing and risk management practices.
- Support the delivery of engaging programs that reflect children's needs, interests and development.
- Build positive and professional relationships with children, families, staff and the wider community.
To be successful you will possess:
- Demonstrated experience leading and supporting a diverse team in an OSHC or education and care environment.
- Sound knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law and National Regulations and an understanding of the OSHC Learning Framework – My Time Our Place.
- Strong understanding of appropriate professional boundaries and standards when working with children and young people.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skill and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across the College.
- Demonstrated reliability, professionalism and commitment to confidentiality.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across the College.
- Current Blue Card.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, or an equivalent qualification approved by ACECQA.
- A commitment to Child Safety and the College's Work Health and Safety policies and procedures.
