Pathways & Vocational Learning Coordinator
Victory Lutheran College is seeking a passionate and future-focused Pathways and Vocational Learning Coordinator to provide leadership in career development, pathway counselling, workplace learning and vocational education across the Secondary School in 2027.
This important role supports students and families to make informed decisions about subject selection, senior secondary pathways, further education, training and employment opportunities, helping students successfully navigate their future beyond school.
The College is open to appointing the role in a variety of ways depending on the experience, qualifications and strengths of the successful applicant. Applicants with expertise in pathways, vocational education, workplace learning, or a combination of these areas are encouraged to apply.
The role combines the College's existing Pathways Coordinator responsibilities with vocational learning coordination responsibilities for 2027. The final allocation of duties and release time will be determined following appointment and may vary based on the experience and qualifications of the successful applicant.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Pathways & Vocational Learning Coordinator, you will:
- Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of career education and pathways programs across the Secondary School.
- Provide individual pathway counselling and support students and families with subject selection, tertiary applications, apprenticeships,
traineeships and employment pathways.
- Coordinate Vocational Education and Training (VET), Structured Workplace Learning and School-Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBATs).
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with universities, TAFE providers, Registered Training Organisations, employers and community organisations.
- Coordinate workplace learning opportunities, careers events, industry engagement activities and pathway transition programs.
- Work collaboratively with College leaders and staff to improve student outcomes and post-school destinations.
SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS - Essential
- Current VIT Registration (for a teaching appointment).
- Certificate IV in Career Development (or equivalent recognised qualification).
- Demonstrated experience in work experience, career counselling, pathway planning or career education.
- Strong understanding of senior secondary pathways, tertiary entry, training and employment opportunities.
SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS - Highly Desirable
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE).
- Experience coordinating Vocational Education and Training (VET), Structured Workplace Learning (SWL) or School-Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBATs).
- Experience working with Registered Training Organisations, TAFE providers, universities, employers or industry partners.

- Has experience in career development, pathway planning, vocational learning or workplace learning programs.
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of senior secondary pathways, tertiary entry requirements, training and employment opportunities.
- Builds positive relationships with students, families, staff and external partners.
- Possesses excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
- Demonstrates initiative, sound judgement and a commitment to supporting positive student outcomes.
- Supports the Christian ethos and values of Victory Lutheran College
Applicants must hold a current VIT registration or Victorian Employee Working With Children Check (or be eligible to obtain one).
