Our client is looking for a dilligent Payroll Manager to join a dynamic team on the Lower North Shore. Reporting into HR, the purpose of the role is to support the payroll team by process and pay facilities and corporate staff, support and ensure adherence to all relevant awards, agreements and status related to payment of employees. You will also be responsible for integration and Payroll UAT testing and managing the end to end Australian payroll.
The responsibilities
- Process fortnightly time sheets, including administration of fortnightly reports and reconciliation.
- Process staff movements including current starters, departures and other movements
- Process bonuses and salary sacrifice requests, and checking to ensure payments have been made accurately
- Approve all leave types (applying company's policies and processes)
- Preparing manual payments when required
- Respond to all customer queries (face to face, telephone, email)
- Apply payroll knowledge,
knowledge of company policies and procedures and problem-solving skills to provide a quality response
- Assisting Finance team on queries and reports
- Apply knowledge of awards and EBA's to the end to end payroll process
- Act as Payroll Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Australia payroll project.
- Lead payroll workstream activities from testing through go-live and stabilization.
- Ensure payroll requirements, controls, and compliance obligations are reflected in project design and implementation.
The successful applicant:
- Prior experience in a high-volume payroll environment
- Thoroughly understands the end to end payroll process
- Knowledge of Chris21/Ichris or Oracle payroll system
- Experience preparing payroll reports and reconciliations
- Experience with a wide range of EBAs and Awards, strong knowledge in this area
