THE ROLE The University Club of Western Australia has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Payroll & Finance Officer to join our team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role is responsible for delivering accurate and timely fortnightly payroll, accounts payable and HR administration support. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Payroll

- Process fortnightly payroll accurately and on time.
- Review timesheets, leave, allowances and employee changes.
- Process new starters, terminations and pay rate changes.
- Review payroll reports and resolve discrepancies.
- Respond to routine payroll queries.
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of payroll and employee information.

Accounts Payable

- Process supplier invoices and payment runs.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and obtain approvals.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve queries.
- Maintain supplier records.
- Process credit card and expense claims.
- Assist with month-end AP processing.

HR Administration

- Maintain employee records and HR systems.
- Process new starters, employee changes and exits.
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding administration.
- Respond to routine employee and manager queries.
- Maintain HR documentation.

ABOUT YOU

- Previous experience in payroll, accounts payable and/or finance administration.
- Experience using payroll and accounting systems.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.




- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational, time-management and communication skills.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team.
- Confidence learning and adapting to new systems and processes.
- Experience with Xero or other cloud-based financial systems; experience with Wage Easy or TimeTarget would be highly regarded.
