The Opportunity
Contract: Casual
Pay: $57.85 per hour + applicable penalties + superannuation
Location: Millmerran, Queensland
Shifts: Morning | Afternoon | Overnight

About the Role
As a Registered Nurse at Yallambee in Millmerran, QLD, you will provide safe, competent and contemporary clinical nursing care to our residents, working within your scope of practice and in accordance with AHPRA requirements and relevant aged care standards.
You will work closely with the Care Manager, General Manager and wider care team to ensure residents receive high-quality, person-centred care that supports their health, wellbeing and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive assessments and gather relevant health and care information from residents and/or their families.
- Participate in resident admissions, ongoing assessments and care planning.
- Develop, implement and regularly review resident care plans.
- Maintain accurate, timely and high-quality clinical documentation that reflects the care provided.
- Provide direct clinical care to residents as required.
- Administer medications safely and take responsibility for correct medication ordering, storage and documentation in line with organisational policies and procedures.
- Monitor residents' health and wellbeing and respond appropriately to changes in clinical condition.
- Work collaboratively with residents, families, carers, GPs and the broader care team to achieve positive health outcomes.
- Promote a safe, respectful and person-centred environment for all residents.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, quality and compliance activities within the home.
- Support and mentor care staff as required, providing guidance around residents' clinical needs.
About You
We are looking for a compassionate and capable Registered Nurse who is committed to delivering high-quality care and enjoys working as part of a supportive team.
You will ideally have:
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Experience and/or knowledge of residential aged care.
- Strong clinical assessment, medication management and documentation skills.
- An understanding of aged care accreditation and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of government standards and requirements relating to the delivery of aged care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A current National Police Certificate, or the ability to obtain one.
- A genuine passion for supporting older people to live with dignity, choice and respect.
To be considered for employment with Respect, candidates must meet the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening and demonstrate their suitability to work in the aged care industry.
