Location: Western Hwy, Ballan VIC (on-site)

Employment Type: Full time (Minimum 38 hours per week)

Salary Range: $80,000 to $88,000 per annum plus superannuation

About The Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Retail Manager to join our WEST EAST PETROLEUM team in Western Hwy Ballan VIC. As the Retail Manager, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of our store's operations, ensuring exceptional customer service and driving the business to achieve its strategic objectives. This is a full-time position based in our Western Hwy Ballan location. Successful candidate will be working closely with the Store Manager and Business Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (BUT NOT LIMITED TO)

- Manage and lead a team of retail sales associates, ensuring high levels of customer service, handling customer complaints and staff engagement
- Oversee store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, presentation and growth.
- Organizing displays, promotions, and stock replenishment
- Managing daily store activities, including sales, inventory, and staff scheduling.
- Recruiting, training, supervising, and evaluating team members.




- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the customer experience
- Monitoring budgets, sales targets, and expenses.
- Work closely with the leadership team to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures
- Liaise with management and other stakeholders to share insights and support the overall business objectives
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, providing coaching and development opportunities for the team

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Qualification and Employment:

1. A Diploma or higher qualification in Business, Retail Management, or a related field. In lieu of formal qualifications, equivalent relevant full-time experience may be considered.

2. A minimum of three (3) years of recent full-time relevant experience in a retail management or supervisory role.

Required Skills and Attributes:

1. Strong leadership and people management skills with demonstrated ability to recruit, train, supervise, and motivate a retail team.
2. Sound knowledge of retail operations including inventory management, merchandising, stock control, and financial reporting.
3. Demonstrated experience in setting and monitoring sales targets, budgets, and operating expenses.
4. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle complaints professionally and maintain high service standards.
5. Familiarity with applicable retail industry regulations including occupational health and safety requirements.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with staff, suppliers, and management.
7. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
8. A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
9. Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays.
