The AMC Criminal Registry – Criminal Coordinator supports the Adelaide Criminal Registrar in the Adelaide Magistrates Court by contributing to the coordination and supervision of the Court Officer functions and the smooth running of the Adelaide Criminal Courts within the Magistrates Court of South Australia.

The Criminal Coordinator will contribute to the maintenance of existing registry processes and practices, while supporting the implementation of business improvement initiatives that promote the harmonisation of court rules, practices and services within a single registry operating model. The role will also support the transition of court processes to a digital, electronic and online environment.

A Criminal Coordinator is responsible for the effective, efficient and timely disposition of all matters lodged at the Court through consultation with the AMC Criminal Registrar, Regional Manager Magistrate, other Magistrates, the legal profession, SA police and other user agencies.

This position is located in the CourtSA Division and is based at the Adelaide Magistrates Court, with more than one position available.

Special Conditions:
The following special conditions apply to this position:

- Appointment is under the Courts Administration Act, 1993. Terms and Conditions of employment are governed by the Public Sector Act, 2009.
- Appointment is dependent upon a current National Police Certificate that the CAA finds satisfactory.
- As a justice agency,



the CAA may receive details of spent convictions as part of any Criminal History Screening and use this information in the selection process.
- Eligible for appointment as a Justice of the Peace.
- May be appointed as a Deputy Registrar pursuant to the Magistrates Court Act 1991 and/or as a Deputy Sheriff Pursuant to the Sheriff’s Act 1978.
- Travel to other courthouses or to circuit locations may be required.
- Some out of hours work may be required.

Remuneration:
ASO4 ($82,212 - $86,180 per annum + 12% superannuation)
