WA Professional Waterproofing is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to provide temporary support to our busy construction business.

This role is available for an immediate start and will provide continuity of our bookkeeping and financial administration functions during a period of staff leave. The initial engagement is expected to be approximately 1 month, with the possibility of extension depending on business requirements.

The Role

Working closely with our Office Manager and Directors, you will be responsible for the day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration of the business, including:

- Accounts payable and receivable

- Bank and credit card reconciliations

- Payroll processing and superannuation

- BAS preparation and lodgement support

- Invoicing and debtor management

- Supplier and subcontractor payments

- General ledger maintenance and reconciliations

- Month-end reporting

- Liaison with our external accountant

- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records

About You

We need someone who can step into the role quickly,



understand a construction workplace and work confidently with minimal supervision.

Essential:

- Solid MYOB experience

- Previous bookkeeping experience within the construction industry

- Demonstrated experience with payroll, accounts payable and receivable, BAS and reconciliations

- Strong understanding of subcontractor and supplier accounts

- Excellent attention to detail

- Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies

- Strong organisational and communication skills

- Ability to handle confidential financial and employee information

Experience working with a construction business managing multiple concurrent projects would be particularly valuable.
