The Opportunity
The International Admissions Officer is responsible for the end-to-end process involving administration and processing of applications for admission from international students into TAFE SA courses. The International Admissions Officer is responsible for the assessment and processing of applications, offers and acceptances from international students for entry to preparatory English and award courses at TAFESA.
What We’re Looking For
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage competing priorities, resolve day-to-day issues, and exercise initiative in applying established procedures.
- Strong written, communication, interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and provide timely, accurate advice to students and stakeholders.
- Sound administrative, data entry, records management and computing skills, including experience using Microsoft Office and relevant student management systems such as SIS and StudyLink.
- Knowledge of international education, application and admissions processes, international qualifications, course entry requirements, visa conditions, OSHC, CRICOS, ESOS, AQF, National Code and PRISMS requirements.
- Demonstrated cultural awareness and ability to communicate effectively with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, including experience with other cultures or languages.
What You Need to Know
A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) issued by the South Australian Department of Human Services is required before employment.
