We’re looking for an experienced Recruitment Consultant who knows the locum nursing market and wants to help build something exceptional.

You’ll join a supportive, ambitious team that values collaboration, high standards and long-term relationships. You’ll take ownership of established nursing desks with strong growth potential while helping us expand into new markets and develop a high-performing healthcare recruitment team.

The opportunity

You’ll manage the full recruitment cycle, connecting qualified nurses with hospitals and aged care facilities across metropolitan, regional, rural and remote Australia.

Your portfolio will include:

- Shift-by-shift metropolitan placements

- Temporary hospital and aged care contracts

- Regional, rural and remote placements

- Permanent clinical placements

Alongside managing established business, you’ll have the autonomy and support to develop new client relationships, enter new markets and potentially build a permanent clinical recruitment desk.

What you’ll be doing

- Growing and managing established locum nursing desks

- Developing new nursing markets, client accounts and revenue opportunities

- Recruiting locum nurses for hospitals and aged care facilities

- Filling urgent shifts and short- and long-term temporary contracts

- Managing metropolitan, regional, rural and remote placements

- Building trusted relationships with healthcare organisations and nursing professionals

- Sourcing, screening and placing suitably qualified clinical professionals

- Maintaining strong candidate engagement, availability and retention

- Responding confidently to urgent workforce requirements

- Identifying opportunities for permanent clinical placements

- Achieving agreed activity, placement and revenue goals





- Maintaining accurate recruitment and compliance records

- Contributing to a collaborative, accountable and high-performing team culture

What you’ll bring

Direct locum nursing recruitment experience is essential for this position.

You’ll have:

- A successful track record of placing locum nurses in hospitals and aged care facilities

- Experience managing shift-by-shift requirements and temporary contracts

- Demonstrated success growing an established recruitment desk

- Experience developing new markets, desks or client accounts

- Knowledge of metropolitan, regional, rural and remote nursing placements

- A robust understanding of the Australian healthcare recruitment market

- Proven business-development and relationship-management skills

- Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational abilities

- A proactive, commercially minded and results-focused approach

- The confidence to work autonomously while contributing positively to a close-knit team

Experience recruiting clinical professionals for permanent positions would be highly regarded but is not essential.
