About the Opportunity

This is a critical 6-12-month fixed-term contract for a Senior Financial Accountant to join a close-knit corporate finance team. Designed to cover key operational cycles while supporting ongoing organizational redesign, this position offers a dynamic blend of core financial control and strategic project delivery.

You will take ownership of multi-entity financial reporting, revenue recognition, and complex balance sheet management, while simultaneously driving key transition projects. Working closely with finance leadership, you will play a central role in unifying entity structures, refining ledger mapping during an Oracle ERP modernisation, and elevating reporting quality for Executive and Board visibility.

What You'll Do

- Delivering accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial accounting processes across a multi-entity portfolio

- Managing complex revenue recognition accounting, government funding variations, grant acquittals,



and funds received in advance

- Driving system transition activities, including ledger mapping from legacy platforms to enterprise systems like Oracle, SAP, D365 or Netsuite

- Constructing financial statement reconciliation bridges, linking audit adjustments to underlying monthly financials

- Reconciling and managing complex balance sheet items, including capital projects, lease accounting, and complex leave liabilities

- Investigating and resolving data integrity issues across systems to strengthen overall financial control governance

- Preparing clear, robust financial reporting packs and analytical insights tailored for Executive and Board presentation

- Partnering cross-functionally across entities to build shared knowledge, remove single points of dependency, and ensure seamless cross-coverage

What You'll Bring

We are seeking a CA or CPA qualified accountant who brings a solid foundation in technical debits and credits alongside a proactive, problem-solving mindset. You are comfortable looking beyond basic checklists to understand underlying transaction flows and thrive in environments undergoing growth or systems integration.

In addition, you will bring:

- CA or CPA qualification with extensive post-qualification financial accounting experience

- Demonstrated background in government-funded organisations, complex program environments, or heavily governed sectors

- Solid hands-on technical skills in revenue recognition, multi-entity accounting, and statutory balance sheet reconciliations

- Exposure to system transitions, ERP implementations, ledger data mapping, or audit reconciliation bridges

- Experience with tier-1 or tier-2 ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle, or Great Plains

- Immediate or near-immediate availability to commence a 6-12-month contract
