About the role

Buderim Bowls Club is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Casual Bar Attendants to join our hospitality team. This is a casual position based at our venue in Buderim, QLD 4556. Offering 10+ hours a week, afternoon/ early night shifts, some weekends and functions when required. As a Bar Attendant, you will be at the heart of our club, delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining our bar operations. This role is perfect for individuals seeking flexible work opportunities in a friendly, community-focused environment. Your primary focus will be on creating a welcoming atmosphere for our members and guests whilst ensuring efficient bar service during peak and off-peak periods.

Key responsibilities

- Preparing and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to members and guests

- Taking customer orders accurately and processing payments using point-of-sale systems

- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including wiping down surfaces and restocking supplies

- Checking identification to ensure responsible service of alcohol in accordance with legal requirements

- Building positive relationships with members and guests to create a welcoming club atmosphere

- Preparation of Tea and coffee station for morning and afternoon tea

- Following all health, safety and hygiene protocols to maintain a safe working environment

- Supporting other team members during busy service periods

- Ability to use your initiative and problem-solving skills and shifts

What we're looking for

- Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification

- Previous bar or hospitality experience is highly desirable

- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour

- Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced environment, particularly during peak times

- Basic knowledge of popular spirits, wines,



beers and cocktails, or a keen willingness to learn

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Reliability and punctuality with flexibility to work various shifts including afternoons/ early evenings and weekends

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

- Good numeracy skills for handling cash and processing transactions accurately

- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
