The latest project is the significant restoration and redevelopment of a large inner-city Perth pub. Combining heritage character with contemporary hospitality, the venue will feature extensive food and beverage spaces, a substantial beer garden, functions and events, and further staged development planned for the future.

Job Description

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced General Manager to lead the opening and ongoing operation of a major Perth hospitality venue.

With construction scheduled for completion in late October and opening planned shortly afterwards, the General Manager will play a critical role in bringing the venue to life. Working closely with senior leadership, the successful candidate will establish the operating culture, build and lead the management team, drive commercial performance and deliver a consistently strong guest experience.

The venue will accommodate approximately 400 guests and feature multiple food and beverage areas, contemporary dining facilities, a substantial outdoor component and an expanded functions offering. Future development will further increase the scale of the business, including additional outdoor entertainment, event and family-focused spaces.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Lead the pre-opening, launch and ongoing operation of the venue
- Recruit, develop and lead a high-performing management and operational team




- Drive revenue, profitability, labour management and overall commercial performance
- Establish exceptional standards across service, food, beverage and guest experience
- Build strong operating systems and processes suited to a large, high-volume venue

Candidate Profile

This opportunity will suit an accomplished hospitality leader who understands the complexity, energy and commercial demands of running a substantial pub or multi-outlet venue.

You will be a visible and engaging leader who enjoys building teams, creating culture and taking ownership of a business. Previous experience with venue openings, redevelopments or significant operational change will be highly regarded.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

- Venue or General Manager leadership experience within pubs, hotels or large hospitality operations
- Strong commercial acumen with proven experience managing revenue, costs, labour and profitability
- The ability to recruit, mentor and retain high-performing hospitality teams
- Experience delivering consistently high standards in busy, high-volume environments
- A hands-on, collaborative leadership style with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
