ABOUT ST BERNARD’S COLLEGE:
Established in 1940, St Bernard’s College is a Catholic secondary college in the Edmund Rice tradition, proudly serving as a cornerstone of the Essendon community and providing exceptional Catholic education to 1600 young men. The Director of People, Culture, Risk & Compliance is a pivotal senior leadership role responsible for the strategic direction and oversight of the College’s People and Culture, Workplace Relations, Risk, Compliance and Child Safety functions. Reporting directly to the Principal, the position provides expert advice and support to the Principal and Senior Leadership Team on governance, risk management, workforce and organisational matters. The role is accountable for ensuring the College’s compliance with all legislative, regulatory and child safety requirements, while fostering a culture of integrity,
accountability and continuous improvement.

ABOUT YOU:
Essential
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business, Law or a related discipline.
- Current Victorian Working with Children Check.
- National Police Check (or ability to obtain).
- Eligibility to work in Australia.
Desirable
- Postgraduate qualifications in Human Resources, Employment Law, Business, Governance or a related field.
- Qualifications or demonstrated experience in workplace investigations, risk management, compliance or occupational health and safety.
- Membership of a relevant skilled association (e.g. AHRI, Governance Institute of Australia, AICD).
