About the Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in Newcastle.

This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the delivery and management of IT projects for our managed services clients. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing a variety of infrastructure, cloud, networking, and modern workplace projects whilst ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with Project Coordinators, Service Delivery teams, and client stakeholders, you will contribute directly to the success of our clients' technology initiatives and digital transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute IT infrastructure, server migration, and cloud deployment projects on schedule and within scope.

- Perform tenant-to-tenant and legacy-to-cloud migrations across Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.

- Deploy, configure, and support networking solutions including firewalls, switches, wireless networks, and VPN technologies.

- Configure and manage technologies such as FortiGate, SonicWall, Cisco, Meraki, and similar platforms.

- Coordinate with clients, internal teams,



and vendors to ensure project requirements are clearly understood and successfully delivered.

- Monitor project progress, timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables.

- Identify and manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies where required.

- Produce high-quality technical documentation, implementation notes, configurations, and handover guides.

- Collaborate with Service Delivery and Help Desk teams to ensure seamless project transitions.

- Provide technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders and team members.

- Conduct project reviews and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

- Maintain accurate project records and ensure compliance with company and client requirements.

- Communicate effectively with clients through project kick-offs, progress updates, and final sign-offs.

- Troubleshoot technical issues and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills and Experience

- 3+ years of experience in project engineering, technical project delivery, or professional services within an MSP environment.

- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Windows Server environments.

- Experience delivering cloud migration, infrastructure, and modern workplace projects.

- Solid networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, VLANs, routing, and firewall configuration.

- Experience deploying and supporting enterprise-grade networking technologies.





- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality.

- Excellent organisational and time management skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.

- Strong problem-solving capabilities and a practical, solutions-focused mindset.

- A commitment to producing high-quality technical documentation and project outcomes.

Desirable Qualifications

- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.

- Microsoft 365 certifications.

- Cisco CCNA or equivalent networking certifications.

- PRINCE2, CompTIA Project+, or other project management qualifications.

- Exposure to cybersecurity and modern workplace technologies.

- Experience with ticketing systems, asset management platforms, and IT service delivery tools.
