South Yarra Cellars is a wine store and bar with a strong focus on wine, drinks and creating engaging experiences for our customers. The role involves overseeing the day-to-day operation of the venue while assisting with ordering, staffing, service and general venue management. The role would suit a junior sommelier or experienced hospitality professional looking to take the next step into management, while moving away from the intensity of a traditional busy restaurant environment.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the venue
- Assist with ordering
- Assist with staffing
- Assist with service
- Assist with general venue management
- Work closely with brands, producers and the broader drinks industry on wine and drinks-focused events
- Host and coordinate producer and bar takeovers, specialty weeks and activations such as Negroni Week
