The Opportunity

Eligibility: Applicants must be Australian citizens and be eligible to obtain and maintain an active Australian Government Defence security clearance at the level required for the position.

Join a dynamic sustainment team supporting a critical Defence aviation capability. We are seeking a Fleet Planning & Configuration Management Specialist to coordinate fleet planning, maintenance alignment, and configuration management activities for the UH-60M fleet.

Working within the Integrated Services Team, you will collaborate with Defence, engineering, logistics, and maintenance stakeholders to ensure fleet availability, configuration control, and the successful delivery of scheduled maintenance and modification programs.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the management of the UH-60M Fleet Plan by providing guidance and direction to CAMO and Army Aviation fleet planning stakeholders.

- Coordinate aircraft inductions into Deep Maintenance (DM), Planned Maintenance Inspection (PMI), and retrofit programs.

- Administer and track the Configuration Alignment Management Program (CAMP), ensuring fleet configuration changes are effectively managed and controlled.

- Coordinate and synchronise scheduled maintenance activities with retrofit and modification programs to minimise operational impact.

- Facilitate engineering and logistics support requirements for maintenance and configuration activities.

- Represent the UHSPO at Fleet Planning Working Groups and other stakeholder forums.

- Monitor fleet status, maintenance schedules, and configuration changes to support fleet readiness objectives.

- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across Defence, engineering, logistics, maintenance, and operational communities.

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance fleet planning effectiveness and sustainment outcomes.





- Support the development of reporting, planning tools, and governance processes associated with fleet management activities.

About You

You are an aviation professional with strong maintenance and planning experience who thrives in a collaborative environment. You have the ability to balance competing priorities, analyse technical information, and coordinate complex activities across multiple stakeholders.

Essential Requirements

- Certificate IV or higher qualification in a relevant discipline, preferably Aeroskills Mechanical, Aeroskills Avionics, or equivalent.

- Proven experience using CAMM2 and associated aviation maintenance planning processes.

- Significant aviation maintenance experience, including fleet planning, maintenance coordination, and maintenance documentation oversight.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

- Strong analytical and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and effectively.

- Demonstrated stakeholder management and coordination experience within a complex operational environment.

Desirable Experience

- Experience in aviation quality assurance and/or logistics environments.

- Experience working within a Defence System Program Office (SPO).

- Understanding of Defence aviation sustainment, configuration management, and fleet planning practices.





- Experience supporting program planning, risk management, and governance activities.

- Familiarity with Defence aviation maintenance and sustainment frameworks.
