About the role

Elev8 Labour Hire is seeking experienced Crane Operators and Doggers for ongoing work across the Gold Coast, Brisbane and South East Queensland. We work with crane hire, construction and civil companies throughout South East Queensland, with opportunities ranging from casual assignments through to consistent ongoing work and potential full-time positions.

Key responsibilities

Mobile Crane Operators:

- Safe and efficient operation of mobile cranes

- Completing pre-start inspections and equipment checks

- Working with Doggers and Riggers to complete lifting operations

- Following lift plans, SWMS and site-specific procedures

- Maintaining clear radio and hand-signal communication

- Monitoring site conditions and exclusion zones

- Identifying and reporting hazards or equipment concerns

- Complying with Elev8, client and site WHS requirements

Tower Crane Operators:

- Safe and efficient operation of tower cranes

- Completing pre-start inspections and equipment checks

- Working with Doggers and Riggers to complete lifting operations

- Following lift plans, SWMS and site-specific procedures

- Maintaining clear radio and hand-signal communication

- Monitoring site conditions and exclusion zones

- Identifying and reporting hazards or equipment concerns

- Complying with Elev8, client and site WHS requirements

Doggers:

- Selecting and inspecting lifting equipment

- Slinging and securing loads

- Directing Crane Operators during lifting operations

- Communicating using recognised hand signals and two-way radios

- Monitoring loads throughout lifting operations

- Establishing and maintaining exclusion zones

- Assisting with crane setup and pack-down where required

- Following lift plans, SWMS and site procedures

- Working closely with Crane Operators, Riggers, Supervisors and site personnel

About you

Mobile Crane Operators:





- Current relevant High Risk Work Licence (CN, C2, C6, C1, or C0)

- Current Construction White Card

- Current Driver Licence and reliable transport where required

- Relevant experience for the position being applied for

- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety

- Valuable communication and teamwork skills

- Ability to follow SWMS, lift plans and site procedures

- Reliable, punctual and professional attitude

Tower Crane Operators:

- CT – Tower Crane High Risk Work Licence

- Current Construction White Card

- Demonstrated tower crane operating experience

- Strong radio communication skills

- Good understanding of site lifting procedures and exclusion zones

- Strong commitment to safe lifting practices

Doggers:

- Current DG – Dogging High Risk Work Licence

- Current Construction White Card

- Current Driver Licence and reliable transport where required

- Relevant experience for the position being applied for

- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety

- Good communication and teamwork skills

- Ability to follow SWMS, lift plans and site procedures

- Reliable, punctual and professional attitude
