About the role

Elderberry Event Hire is looking for a motivated Marquee & Event Setup Supervisor / Leading Hand to join our growing team in Geelong.

You'll work alongside our crew setting up and packing down events, while helping keep the team organised and the job moving.

Marquee or event experience will be highly regarded, but isn't essential. If you're practical, a strong worker and have experience in construction, landscaping, trades, logistics or another hands-on industry, we're happy to provide training for the right person.

It's a hands-on role first and foremost, with the opportunity to take the lead on more jobs as your experience and confidence grow.

What you'll be doing

- Setting up and dismantling marquees and event flooring

- Installing lighting, furniture and event equipment to site plans, using hand and power tools as required

- Helping organise the crew and day's workload

- Loading, unloading and storing equipment

- Working to OHS standards and venue-specific requirements

- Keeping an eye on quality, presentation and timelines

- Working with clients and venues and following site plans

About you

We're looking for someone who:

- Enjoys practical, hands-on work and is able to lift heavy equipment





- Is reliable and has a good work ethic

- Works well as part of a team

- Has good attention to detail

- Can think on their feet and solve problems

- Is comfortable working outdoors

- Is willing to learn and take on more responsibility over time

- Has the potential to lead by example

A current driver's licence is essential.

Experience with trailers, trucks, forklifts, machinery, power tools or event equipment would be a bonus.

Experience is significant to us, but the right person is more important than having the perfect résumé.

Elderberry Event Hire specialises in marquee and event installations, transforming empty sites into complete event spaces with marquees, flooring, lighting, furniture and event infrastructure.

We're a practical, hands-on team and want this role to provide a good balance between interesting, rewarding work and having time to enjoy life outside of work.
