Role

We are looking for a motivated expert in QA/QC inspections with the thorough understanding of AS 5131, AS 4100, AS 1554.1, AWS D1.1 and have the working knowledge of ISO 9001.

With welding inspector qualifications, you must also demonstrate a good understanding of steelwork fabrication, dimensional control, quality control and surface treatment requirements.

Key responsibilities
Providing technical advice and assistance to the project team on all quality related activities.
Implementing project quality management systems, quality plans, NDT requirement and inspection test plans.
Performing inspections in accordance with all relevant standards and specifications.
Liaising with client inspection representatives and undertaking routine surveillance inspections.
Assisting with the production,



compilation of relevant verification documentation and completion records.

Qualifications and Experiences
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar QA/QC role, preferably in a workshop environment.
A welding inspection qualification (CSWIP 3.1, Certificate 10 or equivalent).
Experience in painting inspection requirements to assist our painting department when required (not critical but beneficial).
Experience within ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
Advanced written communication skills including report preparation.
Strong communication skills with the ability to develop relationships with project personnel and client liaison.
