Expression of Interest –2027 Early Childhood Teacher

Wingate Avenue Children’s Co-op is seeking expressions of interest from passionate and committed Early Childhood Teachers to join our community-focused, not-for-profit early learning service.

At Wingate, we believe that children learn best when they feel safe, valued, heard and connected. Our practice is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, with a strong focus on relationships, children’s voices, curiosity, exploration and viewing children as capable and active participants in their learning.

We are looking for an ECT who:
Holds a recognised Early Childhood Teaching qualification and current VIT registration
Is passionate about children’s learning, wellbeing and development
Places child safety, wellbeing and protection at the heart of their practice
Understands their responsibilities as a child-safe professional and is committed to maintaining a secure, inclusive and respectful environment for every child
Is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach and values children as capable, curious and competent learners




Values relationships, connection and a strong sense of community
Is committed to reflective practice and ongoing professional growth
Enjoys workingcollaboratively with educators, children and families Is inspired by play-based, child-led and inquiry-based learning
Brings a positive attitude, warmth and a willingness to contribute to our team
