Full time Chef – Pelican Waters Resort

Pelican Waters Resort is seeking an experienced and motivated Full-Time Chef to join our kitchen team on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, Queensland.

This is a full-time position suited to a qualified chef who takes pride in producing consistently high-quality food and working as part of a professional, fast-paced kitchen team.

The Role

As a Full-Time Chef, your responsibilities will include:
Preparing and cooking high-quality meals in accordance with our menus and standards
Assisting with menu preparation and development
Maintaining consistent food quality, presentation and portion control
Managing food preparation and service during busy periods
Maintaining food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards
Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering and stock rotation
Minimising food waste and assisting with kitchen cost control
Working collaboratively with the kitchen and broader resort team
Assisting with functions, events and other food service requirements as required

Skills & Experience

The successful applicant will ideally have:
Relevant commercial cookery qualifications




Previous experience working as a Chef in a restaurant, hotel, resort or similar commercial kitchen environment
Strong food preparation and cooking skills
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements
Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen workplace
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Excellent attention to detail and consistency
Ability to work a versatile roster, including weekends and public holidays where required
