About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Mandarin Speaking Accounts Assistant to join our growing team. This role combines day-to-day bookkeeping and accounts support with supplier and customer liaison responsibilities. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records while coordinating purchases and communications with overseas suppliers and international customers, particularly in Mandarin-speaking markets.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts & Bookkeeping
Daily data entry and bookkeeping
Accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
Bank reconciliations
Daily, weekly and Monthly reporting to Executive teams.
Supplier invoice processing and payment preparation
Credit card reconciliations and expense management
Assisting with month-end reporting and financial records
Maintaining accurate accounting and supplier records
Supporting the finance team with general administrative duties

Supplier & Customer Coordination
Communicate with overseas suppliers and manufacturers in Mandarin and English
Arrange and manage orders for venue, hotel and operational supplies
Obtain quotations,



negotiate pricing and coordinate deliveries
Follow up on shipments, inventory levels and outstanding orders
Assist customers and suppliers with enquiries and account matters
Liaise with freight providers and international logistics partners where required

Skills & Experience

Essential
Fluent Mandarin and English (written and spoken)
Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounts administration or a similar finance role
Robust attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

Desirable
Experience using Xero, MYOB or similar accounting software
Experience dealing with overseas suppliers and import purchasing favorable.
Background in hospitality, hotels, retail or wholesale environments also favorable.
