SUPERMARKET STORE MANAGER — IGA HAMILTON

Full time, permanent position
$70,000 per year plus superannuation

Take ownership of a local supermarket and help shape its next chapter.

IGA Hamilton is seeking a practical, motivated Store Manager to lead our team and manage the store’s daily operations as we renovate and expand our fresh-food and takeaway offering.

Working closely with the owners, you will lead by example on the shop floor, deliver excellent customer service and take responsibility for the store’s operational and financial performance.

Key responsibilities
Lead the team and manage daily store operations, including rosters, training, performance, opening and closing procedures.
Manage customer enquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
Oversee cash handling, till reconciliation, banking and Lotto procedures.
Manage ordering, deliveries, stocktakes, stock rotation, pricing, promotions and shelf labels.
Maintain strong availability, presentation and quality standards throughout the store.
Oversee fruit and vegetables, hot food and takeaway operations.
Maintain food-safety, hygiene and workplace-safety standards.
Achieve sales, gross-profit and other operational KPIs.
Control wage budgets, purchasing, wastage,



shrinkage and stock losses.
Report performance, issues and improvement opportunities to the owners.
Work alongside the team when required and ensure tasks are completed to the expected standard.

What you’ll bring
Previous supermarket or grocery management experience is strongly preferred.
Practical fresh-food experience, including fruit and vegetables, hot food or takeaway operations.
Robust leadership, communication and customer-service skills.
Confidence managing budgets, rosters, cash, POS systems and stock ordering.
A reliable, proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills.
The ability to organise priorities and maintain standards in a busy retail workplace.
Availability across store trading hours, including weekends.
Lotto experience is an advantage.
