Located in heritage CBD location, we are seeking an experienced Short Order Cook to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes that meet our guests' expectations while following food safety and sanitation procedures. The ideal candidate will have a robust culinary background, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare and cook dishes in accordance with recipes and guest orders

· Follow food safety and sanitation procedures, including proper food handling, cooking temperatures, and storage

· Collaborate with staff to ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented according to established standards

· Ensure that all food is prepared and served in a timely manner

· Organize and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced workplace

· Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace





· Work closely with servers and other restaurant staff to ensure that all guests receive high-quality food and service

· Complete other tasks as assigned by the chef or kitchen manager

Requirements:

· Proven experience as a Cook in a quick-paced restaurant or commercial kitchen setting

· Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures

· Strong culinary skills and knowledge of cooking techniques

· Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

· Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards

· Flexibility to work in different areas of the kitchen as needed

· Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from the kitchen manager and chef

· Excellent communication and organisational skills

Pay: $54,938.45 – $84,824.32 per year
