About the role

We are looking for an Experienced or Senior Civil Engineer to join our Water Service Coordination team in North Sydney and apply your civil engineering experience to real project outcomes. You will help deliver water and wastewater servicing outcomes for development and infrastructure projects - working through approvals pathways, coordinating with water authorities, and supporting servicing strategies from early planning through to delivery.

You will work alongside Project Coordinators, Team Leaders and Senior Engineers, taking on responsibility and working independently while contributing to practical, high-quality project delivery. You will be supported to continue building your technical, qualified and commercial skills.

Essentials:
Proven design experience in water infrastructure and able to complete a full design package from strategic to detailed design - minimum 5 years




Proven experience preparing a Major Works design package independently (or equivalent in water authorities other than Sydney Water)
Proven site experience in water infrastructure (can be construction management, supervision or certification)
Experienced with digital tools including AutoCAD and Civil3D or 12d
Experience mentoring and managing junior staff
Experience in coordinating various design disciplines
Deep knowledge of WSAA 02 and 03 code
Able to work independently and liaise with authorities and clients
Valuable communication skills, can-do attitude and entrepreneur mindset

Knowledge of Sydney Water standards and processes
Utilities Coordination experience
General Civil experience
SEA experience
