DescriptionThe Financial Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day management of accounting activities across our operating business units, including technical accounting matters and group reporting.
Your focus will be on ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial data to support strategic decision-making.Reporting directly to the Senior Accounting Manager, you'll contribute to the preparation of complete and accurate Weekly and Monthly Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets, while supporting group reporting and cost/allocation transfers across business units.
In a period of exciting growth, this role is essential in maintaining strong financial processes and ensuring seamless data flow into our centralised accounting system.Key Responsibilities – Prepare, reconcile, and consolidate monthly BAS returns (GST, Fuel Excise, PAYG, FBT, etc.) for group companies, ensuring timely submission to the ATOAssist in the preparation of annual FBT returnsSupport the preparation of yearly tax schedules and tax-effect accountingCoordinate and prepare accurate monthly financial reportsMonitor and analyse the financial performance of individual operating activitiesProvide support on technical accounting matters and group reporting requirementsManage cost and allocation transfers across group entitiesPartner with and support stakeholders outside of Finance to help meet broader business objectivesContribute to the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecastsPerform monthly reconciliation of the general ledger and intercompany accountsAssist with year-end account preparation and resolve any audit-related issues Qualifications, Skills and Experience required: Degree in Accounting, along with skilled qualifications (CPA, CA)Preferred experience in an accounting role within a multinational organizationExperience with Oracle Fusion an advantage Proven post-qualification 3-5 years of experience in financial accountingExperience with statutory accounts and consolidations is a plusStrong understanding of accounting systemsProficient in computer applications, including advanced Excel skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills About DP WorldDP World is reshaping the future of global trade to improve lives everywhere.
