About the role

We are an award winning, family-owned independent premium food retail destination based in Terrey Hills, NSW. With over 20 years' experience, we've built a reputation for providing high-quality fresh products for our customers. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Pastry Chef who is either fully qualified or nearing completion of their qualification and looking to further develop their skills within a retail focused patisserie setting.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious pastry professional who is eager to expand their knowledge, gain hands-on experience and work alongside an experienced team in a unique retail environment.

Key responsibilities
Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Patisserie Department
Assist customers with any enquiries and orders
Preparation and production of cakes, tarts, pastries, desserts and specialty baked goods
Decorating and finishing products to a high standard
Maintain consistency, quality and presentation standards,



ensuring products are displayed and merchandised in accordance with Forestway Fresh guidelines
Follow recipes, ingredient preparation, schedules and routines for smooth and efficient operations in the Patisserie department
Ensure all protocols for food handling and safety are being adhered to
Adhere to health and safety standards without compromise
Maintain a clean and organised work environment

About you
Trade qualified Pastry Chef, Apprentice nearing completion or equivalent experience
Previous experience in pastry and baking
Excellent communication skills
Customer-focussed with a friendly and approachable manner
Genuine passion for pastry and artisan baking
Robust attention to detail
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Reliable and punctual
Able to work flexible schedule, including weekends and public holidays
