About the Role
As a Registered Nurse at Grand Cedar, you will provide clinical leadership and high-quality nursing care while working collaboratively with residents, families and the wider care team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing safe, high-quality and person-centred nursing care
Completing comprehensive clinical assessments and developing and reviewing individualised care plans
Administering medications safely and accurately in accordance with legislation, policies and clinical guidelines
Completing clinical procedures including wound care,
pressure injury management and blood glucose monitoring
Monitoring residents and recognising and responding appropriately to changes in their health and wellbeing
Responding to clinical incidents and emergency situations
Providing clinical leadership, guidance and support to Personal Care Workers
Communicating and liaising effectively with GPs, allied health professionals, residents, families and other healthcare providers
Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and resident records
Ensuring compliance with AHPRA standards, relevant legislation, clinical policies and workplace health and safety requirements.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Current
AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Previous residential aged care experience is highly desirable
Strong clinical assessment and medication management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong clinical documentation and organisational skills
A compassionate, respectful and person-centred approach
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
A strong commitment to resident safety, quality care and clinical governance
Flexibility and availability to work casual shifts as required
